The trailer reveals the next episode will heavily focus on Michonne, revealing the details of her search for Rick. Brief glimpses of the franchise protagonist are also seen, indicating the episode could build more on their reunion.
Michonne’s Search For Rick In The Walking Dead Explained
Michonne lived in Alexandria for more than six years after Rick was captured by the CRM, believing that he died in a bridge explosion. However, in The Walking Dead season 10, she finds a boat that includes his belongings, as well as a carving of her and Judith on a phone. This prompts her to go find Rick, eventually meeting up with a massive group of survivors on the move.
Since The Walking Dead series finale saw Michonne traveling alone, this episode may reveal how she wound up splitting off from the group she’d originally discovered. It may also show how she wound up traveling with new characters like Nat (Matthew August Jeffers). Since she found Rick at the end of episode 1, her story will no doubt build back to that moment from her perspective.
With plenty of mystery surrounding Michonne’s journey, it’s unclear how her travels will tie into the story of the CRM. Since there are five episodes left in the show, though, it won’t be too much longer before more gets revealed. While The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live has showcased one side of its story, the other side is already shaping up to be just as exciting.
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live episode 2 arrives on AMC and AMC+ on March 3.
